OpenExVis is a program visualization tool. With it, one can write a program and see the execution visualized to help understanding how the program works. This is useful e.g. to assist students learning how to program.
OpenExVis started as a Google Summer of Code project. After the SoC phase, the project has been at a standstill. I still have interest in taking the project further, but at this point I have no time to devote to it.
The latest public release was uploaded on 27th of August 2005. You can read the release notes and download the package here.
The release has enough basic functionality to be potentially useful, but is quite a bad CPU hog.
